07/20/2026. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "Nineteen Model 76D1s powered by a 320 hp Pratt & Whitney Wasp Junior T1B nine-cylinder, air-cooled radial engine were produced in 1936-37. The Model 76 and 76D1 were advanced armed trainer versions of the Model 73 for low-budget air forces and therefore designed to be multi-purpose. A Type A3 external bomb rack was added under the fuselage, a 0.30 in (7.62 mm) caliber machine gun on each lower wing outside of the propeller arc, and a single gun in the rear cockpit.

In June 1936, the first ten Model 76D1s (c/n 76001 to 76010) were delivered to the Argentine Navy, and three (c/n 76011 to 76013) for the Philippines followed in March 1937. Later an additional six Model 76D1s (c/n 76044 to 76049) were delivered to the Argentine Navy."
