Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "The An-74TK-200 is a version with alternative all-cargo or all-passenger or combi layouts, hence the 'TK' in the designation which stands for convertible transport (transportnyi konvertiruyemnyi). The aircraft is operated by a crew of four. It is fitted with twin seats for 52 passengers that fold against cabin walls, and with baggage racks, a buffet/galley and a lavatory. Typical combi options include twelve passengers plus 6,000 kg (13,228 lb) of freight or twenty passengers plus 4,500 kg (9,921 lb). It has built-in equipment for loading cargo. With 10,000 kg (22,045 lb) payload and one hour fuel reserve it has a range of 528 mls (850 km).
Manufactured in 1998, the pictured aircraft was destroyed on April 23, 2006. The aircraft carried food aid from Sebhy, Libia, to N'Djamena in Chad. However, the planned landing at N'Djamena was aborted and the aircraft crashed a few miles further near the village of Kousséri in neighboring Cameroon. The six Ukrainian crew members were killed."
