07/20/2026. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "This Mi-8S was delivered to Poland in 1977 and coded 635 it was assigned to the specialized 103rd Aviation Regiment of the NJW (Nadwiślańskie Jednostki Wojskowe, Vistula Military Units), an elite branch of Poland's Ministry of Internal Affairs. Based in Warsaw, it operated aircraft and helicopters for government operations and VIP transit. The NJW was disbanded in 2001, and subsequently the Mi-8S was transferred to the National Police Headquarters, registered SN-40XP. After 34 year and 3,226 hours and 15 minutes flying time it was withdrawn from service in November 2011. It was donated to the museum in April 2024."
