07/20/2026. Remarks by Johan Visschedijk: "As stated on page 11202, the design of Fleet biplane types was initially built at Buffalo, New York, USA, but soon thereafter they were also built at Fort Erie, Ontario, Canada. Confusingly the type designations were not always identical.

The aircraft shown above was a modified version of the Model 11, designed and built in the USA as the Model 11-32. Also known as the 'long-wing Fleet', it had its span increased by 4 ft (1.21 m) to 32 ft (9.72 m) to improve performance at high altitudes, as the Mexican AF had ordered six aircraft. This 'prototype' (c/n 629) was delivered to Mexico, where it was serialed E-1. The other five aircraft (E-2 to E-6) were built in Canada as Model 10-32D, but delivered to the Mexican AF as Model 11-32s."
